We are situated in the heart of the New Forest National Park approximately 2 miles from Lyndhurst, 5 miles from Beaulieu and 5 miles from the market town of Lymington. The cities of Southampton and Bournemouth are a short drive from here. We are on a mainline rail connection, which is only 10 minutes walk away.
Brockenhurst is a lovely village in the heart of the forest with many restaurants, pubs and shops. Cycle hire is available in the village centre and horse-riding stables are situated in various locations on the perimeter of the village.
It is just a short drive to some of the South Coast’s loveliest beaches and you can board a ferry from Lymington to explore the Isle of Wight.
We have adapted our home to cater for the comfort of our guests. We have 3 double rooms available.
The first bedroom has a very comfortable big Victorian bed and the spacious en-suite bathroom has a corner bath with shower. The second room is thoughtfully furnished with a kind size bed and its en-suite also has a bath with shower. Our third, newly created room, is very pretty with en-suite shower facilities and has dual aspect views.
All rooms have TV, tea and coffee making facilities and chairs for relaxing. Hair dryers are provided, and a trouser press and ironing board etc are also available.
Breakfast is served at individual tables in a dual aspect room, one of which overlooks the forest and the other overlooking our pleasant garden. You will be assured of a good and hearty English breakfast. For the health conscious we will have fruits, cereals, yoghurt and local farm eggs cooked to your requirements.
This a non-smoking guest house but we are happy for you to smoke in the garden. I'm afraid we do not have facilities for children or pets!

Tariff: Double Rooms with en-suite are from £60 per room per night, including breakfast.
We want you to enjoy your stay in The New Forest and a warm welcome awaits you at Bourne House. Margaret or Martin will be happy to assist in helping you choose places of interest to visit. We are very close to the beautiful hamlet of Beaulieu with its quaint shops and the famous Beaulieu Motor Museum. There are stately homes to visit, museums, local exhibitions and craft/antiques fairs, to name but a few.
Check in time is from 4 pm on the day of your arrival, unless by prior arrangement. On day of departure we would request that rooms be vacated by 10.30 am. We would appreciate an estimate of your arrival time.

How to find us
From the M27 take the last exit for The New Forest and Cadnam, follow the A337 to Lyndhurst and then continue on the A337 to Brockenhurst, as you approach the village, just before the bridge you will find the Balmer Lawn Hotel on your left. Turn left (signposted to Beaulieu) into Balmer Lawn Road. We are situated on the left hand side of the road after the 2 bungalows. Off-road parking is provided at the rear.
